The president’s awardee, winner of 7 national awards for organic produce, innovator of economic organic farming methods Rudrappa has been an inspiration for numerous farmers and educationalist alike. He has been in farming since 1987. He is doing organic farming since 1995 and got his farm certified in 2011. He is resident of Hulyal, Bagalkote. His field was a treat to experience. Fields were full of bio diversity, be it crops or birds or insects. It had birds which feed on larvae, butterflies and bees which help in pollination.He grows brinjal, pigeon pea(toor), black pea, wheat, sorghum, Onion, turmeric and garlic. |
